If you didn’t know before, I am a huge swimmer and a big fan of Michael Phelps! He has done so much for the sport. I also love this picture because it looks like he is telling everyone the quote… haha. But seriously, success is all about breaking limits. If you dream big, you’ll work towards those dreams and accomplish your goals!
I really like this quote because it reminded me of the tortoise and the hard analogy. Sometimes, I feel like the hare in life. I do really great at first, but then I lose sight of my goals. The tortoise definitely takes this piece of information to heart in the fable, and he’s able to win the race!
The emotion on this olympic weightlifter’s face is incredible. You can tell she’s worked her whole life for the success she’s enjoying now. When it comes to fitness, you always need to believe that you can push yourself a little harder. Just imagine what you can achieve.
With calendars turning to May today, I’m sure that a lot of us had our minds turning to thoughts of summer, the beach, and swimming season! While exciting, May and June also convey a sense of urgency, as some people feel like they need to lose extra weight and fit into the “right” swimsuit. There’s nothing wrong with using that as motivation! Just make sure that if you want to get fit by summer, then you better be doing something about it. If you make each day count and work towards your goal, you can do it :)
Also, do your best to love yourself the way you are! A certain bathing suit doesn’t look perfect on everyone, so don’t worry about not fitting into the right shape. Your body is what makes you unique, and you should be proud of that.
Throughout life, we are going to meet people who are negative and try to bring us down. The media will assault us with pictures of flawless bodies and companies will try to sell us remedies to improve our imperfect lives. But no matter what, you just need to be believe in yourself and stay positive. This photo was taken at the finish of of the 100m butterfly final at the 2008 Olympics. If you know the story, Michael Phelps was about to lose the race to Milorad Cavic, but he ended up taking one final half-stroke to win the race by .01 of a second. I can assure you that if Phelps had even an ounce of doubt in himself, he wouldn’t have been able to win that race. Even if you don’t have a lot of supporters on your fitness journey, just try to imagine how great it’s gonna be when you succeed.
I’m sure a lot of people have heard about the ridiculously photogenic guy. But seriously, think about how much fun he is having during that race! He was so happy that he became famous out of it. I’m not saying that we should act happy while exercising so that we can be famous. But I am saying that if you are happy and enthusiastic about exercise, the time will pass by quicker and I know you’ll have more fun. Even if it’s extremely difficult and you want to quit, try smiling. Everything gets better when you smile.
Are you ready for your moment? You can do it :)
This quote comes from Sun Tzu, and it’s really great because we need to take on new perspectives if we want to get over the obstacles blocking us from our fitness. Also, this picture is so inspiring and motivating. I have always been intrigued by CrossFit and I want to try it out someday soon. Are there any Crossfitters out there?
You only get one body, so protect it and use it well! Taking care of yourself both physically and mentally will pay off in the long run :)
