Everyone is unique! Don’t try to compare yourself to other people, because different workouts and nutrition plans work differently for everyone. The main point is that you stay consistent and focused on your own goals! :D
This quote comes from Sun Tzu, who wrote the Art of War for military engagement. The daily struggle to achieve results you want, lose weight, eat healthier, or simply make it through another workout is very comparable to a battle. If you prepare yourself by knowing your limits and knowing what you need to accomplish each day, you can succeed!
While you can dream as big as you want, nothing will ever be accomplished unless you give yourself a deadline. I find that I can be more focused when I know how much time I have left to accomplish my goals. Try to measure your goals every step of the way so that you know the times you’re working hard and the times that you’re not.
Side note: My birthday is the 17th! I wonder what I can accomplish by my next birthday in May?
The keys to personal excellence come from within you! Find your will and desire, and you will be able to achieve any goal you have when it comes to your fitness.
It can be very hard for some people to get into a good lifestyle of exercise because the people around them don’t understand their goals or are not supportive. Choosing to do exercise is a choice you have to make by yourself, but you don’t have to go in alone! Joining a gym or recreation team can help you find a supportive group of people. Tumblr fitness blog like this one will also support you with whatever you need!
Do you just “try” during your workouts? Or do they end in “triumph?” If these runners didn’t go as hard as they could until the very end of the race, they wouldn’t have a chance to win. They push themselves to the limit, reaching out towards the finish line so that they can win. Put some “umph” into your workouts to see results!
If you could see the finish line, would you give up before you got there? I like this quote because many people underestimate the amount of time it take for your body to accept the changes you make in your lifestyle. You could only be one week away from great results, so don’t give up!
When you set fitness goals for yourself, sometimes the biggest goal can be you! I sometimes tell myself I’m going to work out in the morning, but I never get around to it. Lying to yourself is not going to get you anywhere. Start by accomplishing goals you know you can do, and being more accountable to yourself :)
This quote is so true when it comes to our society today. We all care so much about the number on the scale, when in reality that number is just a quantitative measure. Your weight doesn’t say anything about how much fun you are to hang out with, or how much you love your family. Ask yourself questions that really matter. :)
This quote comes from Confucius, and I think it’s really important to think about for fitness. Actually, it’s a good thing to fail during your workouts. It means you tried the hardest you could! And the next time you work out, you will definitely improve and do even better. The key is having the courage to face failure :)
This quote is about achieving your potential! An unploughed field is covered with red weeds, but it has the capacity to grow healthy crops to feed a family. The same can be said about your own body and lifestyle. If you just think about working out and never do anything about it, you’re the same as the unploughed field. Only you can take the initiative and start the work towards a better life!
This quote comes from Sun-Tzu’s The Art of War. Although the author was talking about military combat, I think it can be translated into fitness and achieving difficult goals. Sometimes people get so intimidated by their own goals that they don’t accomplish them. Take control of yourself, destroy your inner doubts, and do what you have to do to succeed!
